Introducing the Social Service League of La Jolla Auxiliary
The Social Service League of La Jolla (SSL) is proud to introduce its newly established Auxiliary—a dedicated, volunteer-driven group that plays a vital role in supporting our mission.
The Auxiliary was created to ensure continuity of institutional knowledge while expanding opportunities for community involvement. Comprised of engaged volunteers and community ambassadors, this group supports SSL through fundraising, service, advocacy, and outreach.
Auxiliary members help bring our mission to life by assisting with events, strengthening donor engagement, and supporting key programs. Their efforts increase awareness and build meaningful connections throughout the community.
While the Auxiliary plays an essential support role, it is not a governing body. All activities operate under the guidance of the Executive Director. This structure aligns with nonprofit best practices by clearly separating governance from volunteer engagement.
Membership in the Auxiliary includes training, service commitments, and adherence to SSL’s values and ethics. Funds raised directly support our mission and are managed in accordance with Board-established policies.
Through the Auxiliary, SSL continues to honor its history while welcoming new energy and participation—ensuring a strong and connected future for the organization and the seniors we serve.
